There are times I fear this team moving if things don't get any better. There are other times I wish they would. This is the latter. What a complete embarrassment. The effort out there right now is not NHL-level, and it shouldn't be OK.

And I personally don't feel that this is Muller's fault, but starting Khudobin tonight is inexplicable, and not being able to prevent shorthanded goals is ridiculous. I don't think anyone associated with the club should feel good about themselves, and a major house-cleaning is in order.

The last seven games have been like the past seven seasons. The Canes have won *once* but it was such a big one that we deluded ourselves into thinking the losses were the anomaly, and the truth is that we're very good. Not sure how many more losses it will take before we realize what is plainly obvious at this point: the win was the anomaly.

Other than Tripp Tracy and possibly senile JR, who deluded themselves into thinking this was a playoff team?

Oh great, now I have to care about this game, don't I?

Seriously though, nice goal by Gerbe.

If we go back a month and a half (after Khudobin's huge January), I'd say 98 percent of this board was convinced we were a playoff team. And if we go back five years, we've started every season thinking we were a playoff team.

There was a poll a month and a half ago and it was less than 50% thinking this was a playoff team. Keep dreaming that your the only intelligent person who thinks this team sucks though.
