You know, for all of you guys who keep saying that Riley Nash doesn't do anything well, and doesn't have any above average skills, he does score some pretty nice goals...

Talking about the Ladd trade, they speak of how ladd's injuries played a role in him being traded.

So let me get this straight. Play a 19 year old kid, and tell him he has to play a power game and hit a lot. The kid who hasn't finished physically developing yet gets hurt doing what you tell him to do. Then you give up on him still young and trade him for .......Tuomo Ruutu who has up to that point had his career completely derailed by injuries to the point blackhawk fans said he was too slow to keep up with his linemates?

That makes sense. Just like it did the day it happened. Not to bring up old grudges but Tripp saying that the injuries played a role in the trade chafes something awful.

Another thing. Jstaal looking comfortable, semin getting it all together and both playing like the guys we wanted. The rest of the team chipping in. Goaltending keeping us in games.

Why the **** is it happening now!?!

Because it's late March. And we're out of it anyway.

You're not very good at pattern recognition, are you? :sarcasm:

LOL....ah crap, I knew this would pop up now. Riley Nash is nothing more than a tweener and a decent call up on most any team in the NHL.

Nash generally plays hard, and his confidence has improved but he isn't consistent as an offensive player at this point. At most his improvement makes him a possible long term fourth line center if we lose manny and if he keeps improving maybe more but I don't get how he has earned any expectations. Lokti is definitely a better offensive player, Nash is definitely better defensively.

I really want manny to stay, I think he's great for this team at that role but I feel better about Nash taking the fourth line spot than I did earlier in this season. Still hope we keep manny.

Take .5m off Faulk's next contract.

That's actually a pretty legit silver lining to this second half. The less he shines hopefully the less he costs. I think he could ask for the moon and jr would give it to him regardless, but it's still playing in the teams favor.

Would rather he played well and we won, but let's not get carried away.
