Smith has been bad since preseason. I know he’s much better than this, but scratching him early will be a good wake-up call. I hope Chytil gets more ice time tonight.

Not an ideal position for Chytil, but he get NHL experience and hopefully more ice time in this game.

Took until game 3 to have Staal start on the first pairing. Just another reason why he should have been bought out
 
AV rolled the dice; totally random lines this night - it will be fun and interesting, and great that Vesey is back for the top 9 role!

If you're gonna throw Chytil on the 4th line, why not just scratch him, go with 7 D and then save him a game (9 games) and let him watch the game from above?
 
i know staal was very good but i just don't wanna see him paired with mcdonagh.
Shatty and Skjei could be a good thing but we were all banking on smith and skjei being that terrific pairing they were in the playoffs. still early i guess.
whatever happens tonight win or lose please dont go down early
