Hopefully Hayes gets going tonight

They need him to step up and have a big season scoring wise. I wish they would stop trying to force him into being the shutdown center.

How do you guys think Skjei has looked so far, I know it's only 2 games but he doesn't seem to be creating anything on the ice like he did last year ( a little invisible ) , I'm sure he'll turn it around .

Wouldn’t surprise me to see Holden in for Tony D today.

Need way better goaltending.

Chytil id probably play next to Desharnais and Carey if he’s gonna dress again which I guess they have to do unless Fast surprises and jumps in today.

yeah, he need to read well - and take some calculated risk. I`ve high hopes for him - Skjei will improve for sure.

It's funny I actually thought that Henrik was ok last night given the defense. Yet everyone who says I'm a Hank hater thought he was awful. Maybe it was just the D was so bad it made him look better than he was.

oh man, I have a bad feeling guys. 10-6 OTL

Giannone again? Ugh, he is so bad. I feel like he has no idea what's going on and has no understanding of hockey at all when he is announcing.

Kinda tired of every season with the players needing 10+ games to remember they can't play pond hockey and win games. Irritates me how other teams can hit the ground running and have guys in proper position, communicating well, etc, but with the Rangers it's a fire drill until everyone remembers how to play.

AV needs to either send Chytil back or stop panicking about his lineup and find the guy some icetime.

Almost every player needs to step up and the coaching staff needs to prepare them better

I was at a dinner gathering last night and could only watch the game on my phone so I just rewatched the game and I honestly dont think you can blame Hank for any of the goals except the 4th one.
The defence was a total shitshow in the 1st period and Grabner scoring on his own goalie certainly didnt help.

We are 2 games into the season and the usual supects are already calling for Hanks head. I mean just 6 months ago he outplayed the guy alot of you consider #1. Fun fact, that same guy got pulled last night after letting 4 past him and apart from Ovies 1st those goals was way more iffy than any of those you guys bash Hank for.

He looks okay, not one of the biggest culprits of the defensive struggles, nor has he been great, the problem is he needs to be our second shutdown defensemen this season. It's asking a lot of him. He is capable, but there's no guarantee.

Outside of the series against the Habs last year, Henrik has done very little to inspire confidence in quite some time. I understand the desire to have blind faith that he will still be great, but it's very, very likely that his days of dominance are over. Admitting this, or believing this, does nothing to cheapen his legacy, nor does it suggest some sort of lack of appreciation.

All I know is that I now cringe at shots coming through traffic, and no longer have 100% confidence that Hank is stopping every breakaway and penalty shot. It's a weird feeling to have after being spoiled for so long, but it seems to be the reality now and I'm coming to terms with it.

Lots of changes and new faces. Too early to start blaming individuals or systems. Chytil looks a bit over his head, but it's only two games. He'll likely go back to the CR after 9 games, but you want to make sure he goes back with some sort of confidence, not under the cloud of having failed.

Sure, all good points and I most certainly agree with you that his best days are behind him but I dont think it is blind faith asking people not to overreact after 4 periods of play into a new season.
