Personally I would rather Carlo and Schaller take this one off but I'm glad to see the extras getting some minutes. Going to be a real grind until the end.

You know Gionta is scoring a goal tonight just to piss people off

That would be great. I don't think any reasonable fan would be pissed off because Gionta scores a goal. I don't think there's anything wrong with questioning the decision. It's a pretty bold move. I would prefer they experiment with these things against lesser competition or even in back-2-back situations where rest can be a factor.

You also know what's going to happen if the results go the other way.

I actually like Gionta. He has a good motor.

F the Pens. They're stacked, but they can be beat. Let's tear up the rookie goalie and pound Crosby into dust.
This. Crosby stole Iginla from us at the last minute and was properly disposed of and shutdown in the playoffs. Bruins can lock these Penguins down and come out with 2 points in regulation

I love Bruce but these lines are a nightmare. Lets hope he doesn't roll with this. Heinen has been struggling, but Gionta-Backes-Wingels sounds baaaaad.

I'd rather see them test this out against a team like the Red Wings, not the penguins.

Oh my, there should have been zero chance for Gionta to see the ice, and potentially on the 3rd line, yiks.

Huge 2 points available tonight.

I hope the coaching staff knows what it's doing. I'm ok with them sitting Heinen but kind of surprised that it's Gionta they are playing. We shall see if he has anything left in the tank.

If we got these guys for playoffs depth, it makes sense to play them once in a while to keep them in game shape.

That being said, it's still tough to process that Gionta is going to be playing for the Bruins tonight... :help:

I guess we needed to see if Gionta can play at some point, if he struggles it should be the last we see of him. I'm ok with giving Heinen a rest to refresh.
