Why would Krug sit ? Carlo has to sit until he can learn in practice that he is responsible for his side of the ice.

  1. Bring water and salt to a boil in a large saucepan; pour polenta slowly into boiling water, whisking constantly until all polenta is stirred in and there are no lumps.
  2. Reduce heat to low and simmer, whisking often, until polenta starts to thicken, about 5 minutes. Polenta mixture should still be slightly loose. Cover and cook for 30 minutes, whisking every 5 to 6 minutes. When polenta is too thick to whisk, stir with a wooden spoon. Polenta is done when texture is creamy and the individual grains are tender.
  3. Turn off heat and gently stir 2 tablespoons butter into polenta until butter partially melts; mix 1/2 cup Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese into polenta until cheese has melted. Cover and let stand 5 minutes to thicken; stir and taste for salt before transferring to a serving bowl. Top polenta with remaining 1 tablespoon butter and about 1 tablespoon freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese for garnish.

Krug or Carlo, I'm sure. I think I'd sit Krug but I'm guessing it'll be Carlo. With the way Nash and Wingels came out the other day, I hope Holden follows suit

Carlo. Defense is replaceable, Krug does bring elite offense.

I have to say I'm actually disappointed Acciari has ZERO PIMs. Astounding for his style of play. His seven goals are nice but I'd like to see Wingels in that spot when the roster is healthy.

Because if Carlo sits, Holden would be forced to play his offside. If Krug sits, Holden can play his natural side.

I love Bruce but these lines are a nightmare. Lets hope he doesn't roll with this. Heinen has been struggling, but Gionta-Backes-Wingels sounds baaaaad.

I'd rather see them test this out against a team like the Red Wings, not the penguins.

He is far from "elite" He should be sitting instead of Griz tonight. He's been as bad or worst than Carlo in his own end.

I gotcha was not aware of Holden's spot.....That said, They need to figure that out and maybe Holden can handle that. Krug has been slumping offensively, but he needs to play. Looking and Carlo in front of the net every time goals are scored is getting tough to take. Bad positioning, bad reads....it has been a total break down for the kid.

I am disappointed Sweeney did not trade for a top 4 Dman. It may be the one thing that stops us. It was a major poor decision.

I wouldn’t read into it too much. Giving players, especially young players, a chance to sit a game or two is a luxury we have right now. I think Grizz has played well enough to play with Mcavoy in the top 4, but I’m ok with everyone getting a little break as the schedule gets crazy and we get closer to the playoffs.

Keeps rolling Krug out there and we wonder why the Power play sucks
Yeah why would our powerplay ever be good with our 5th highest scoring player and the 13th highest scoring Dman in the league? What a silly decision.....

Let's completely ignore Gionta, Nash and Holden being there, Krug is the issue.

There's absolutely no reason to sit Grz over Carlo, no reason at all. Grz has been fine.
I would think they want to see rotations n the D with guys seeing different partners and situations and combinations. This is a time for that now, and will also help keep guys fresh. Then by playoff time they can have an idea who they trust and when. Honestly, after the first pairing, i dont think the coaching staff know who is playing with who going forward.

What is your coach doing? Why is Heinen being scratched for Brian Gionta? Even if Heinen has cooled down and hit a rookie wall, he's still alot better than Gionta.

Not that I'm complaining as a pens fan. Just found it a bit odd.
