:bow::clap::bow: LaDue

He's so sharp, love him. Can't wait to see him progress.

LaDue has been amazing. Only guy more poised is Doughty. MAYBE Forbort, but it's debateable. Loved seeing him skate the puck a little bit more and honestly even with all his other attributes his ability to shake things off is going to serve him well. I remember him making a pretty terrible pass at our blueline early on and it got picked off...I know when some other guys have done that, like McNabb, they get rattled all night; LaDue bounced right back in the same shift. Fearless.

Forbort continues to impress also. there was a play where he was on the point with almost no space and two guys closing in on him where he did a Doughty-ish dipsy doodle to create space and make a clean pass. its the simple, smart plays like that that get me really excited. LaDue is proving to have a lot of poise with the puck also. the future of our defense looks bright!

Too bad Gravel isn't showing what he can do as well due to Sutter's insistence that they need McNabb's physicality in there. As if it makes up for his poor skating.

The Mayor did make a point on twitter that the Kings don't want 3 rookie defensemen in the lineup in a playoff race, but when Gravel has outplayed McNabb all season and is the better all-around player I don't think the rookie factor matters

Well that was fun. Let's see if they can string together two fun games in a row.

They have to come out hitting like last night for every remaining game. Not having that urgency last Saturday was just embarrassing.

I was super glad they got results last night after hitting like crazy because I'm hoping it will show them something. Especially with a crazy team like Washington coming in tomorrow...

Better hope Tom Wilson doesn't injure anyone with a questionable hit. Given how they lost to the Sharks, I'm going to guess they'll be a bit more motivated against what's perceived to be a weaker opponent.

Gravel is getting the treatment Forbort got last year.

It's also that Gravel is more of a puck moving type, so he's competing for ice time with LaDue. I don't see Doughty or Martinez coming out of the lineup any time soon. The SAH-Puck mover strategy has always worked for the Kings, so I doubt they change it.

I forgot Dwight King was on the Kings, looks like Montreal fans will be wishing for the same soon. 4 games, -3, no points, 3 shots on goal and his ice time has dropped by a full 2 minutes. Thank God Lombardi stripped Sutter of another worthless grinder and replaced him with a player who has talent, upside and is capable of having big games.

It's funny how when DL brought Sutter back, one of the selling points was that Darryl was willing to change and give the younger skilled guys a chance. Well, we saw how long that lasted. King was a Sutter favorite and really the only way to get him off the top lines was trade him.

So Muzzin got fined $2k for diving. Referenced incident was against Vancouver on a high-stick against him.

Where's the fine for impersonating a hockey player this year, eh? Where's that one at?

Except that young players have gotten more playing time this year. Even at a tougher position for younger players. Sutter didn't have King on the top lines when they won the Cup either time, because they had, you know, top players producing on top lines.
