I don’t know what Vlasic is doing there
I don’t know what Vlasic is doing there
On replay an Oiler came in and played the puck right to Donato. What I wanna know is where is that 2nd assist for Bedard? They really gonna do him dirty like that? Give the man his assist, dammit!
No shame in losing this one, I mean we want as few pts as possible anyways let’s just be honest here. And the kids played great, especially Bedard and Nazar. Nazar was extremely impressive on that backcheck vs McDavid in OT. Anyone feeling down about what they saw tonight should adjust their mentality.
McDavid still doesn’t, he never has. It’s hilarious to see who actually watches the games and who just goes with a narrative.I'm still irritated about the intermission.
Yes, Bedard's play away from the puck is somewhat lackadaisical. It sorta happened again in OT when he took his sweet time getting off the ice, causing the penalty.
But McDavid, the reigning Conn Smythe winner and probably a top 5 player all time when his career ends, looked worse tonight and they say nothing. McJesus had no shots in the first 40, only getting 2 shots total in the game, he only had an assist on that OT goal, minus 2, had a worse faceoff percentage than Bedard.
If you can criticize the 19yo kid for lackluster play, you can criticize the likely best player in the league for it. Especially when Biz is saying how all the current great centers in the league, which he included McDavid in, learned to play 'the right way'. McDavid didn't tonight.
See you next season Dicky. Hope Colton didn’t get unpacked in Rockford.
And half of HF thinks he needs to be moved to wing.Team is gonna have one legit C and he’s 19
Brutal
The Blackhawks’ line of Ryan Donato, Bedard and Landon Slaggert was a big reason for the Blackhawks’ analytical success. Despite often going up against Connor McDavid’s line, Bedard’s line had a 14-7 edge in shot attempts, 6-3 in shots on goal, 8-3 in scoring chances and 1-0 in goals while on the ice.
