I have no problem with Francois Beauchemin on the #1 pairing, and it being the best in the league.. If you have a top 5 dmen.

I don't see Ekblad as a top 10 D in his last 2 seasons and the upcoming year. No doubt he will be eventually.

Ekblad is pretty much a top 5 d-man in the league already. He has shown to be a superstar at his crazy young age.

I think you might be overvaluing Ekblad a bit here....... he's good but I have him in the #15 range or so right now

I like my Suter-Severson top pair. Severson had a down year, but hes still a good top 4 D, and playing with a top D man in Suter puts my top pairing in a good place Imo. Suter still puts up 50+ points while playing a great defensive game. I could put Yandle with Suter and have a beast top pairing but spreading them out over two pairings is probably better than a second pairing of Severson-Ceci
