Svechnikov is a fair comparable. If needed I’m sure many of us can dig up others. Anyone concerned about Kakko right now just has no sense of how most elite players develop. McJesus, Crosby, Ovi were generational players. Other than them, few come into the league and dominate. Especially at 18 yo.

Kakko has been terrible all year, Svech is not even close to fair as a comparison. He was great last year with shitty puck luck, and has been one of the league's elite forwards this year. Kakko has not been very good at all this season.

Not saying I don't think he can be great.
