I think the Rangers missed Skjei and Namestnikov the last few games, being short in the skill category. They need Buchnevich and Zucc back too. Good win considering they still have starters on the DL. Great game by Smith being DNP'd.

I think when they're back, there will be four line stability again for a team with the depth of a kiddie pool.

Until Zuccarello and Hayes get dealt. We got a pretty good glimpse of what the quality of this team will be after the deadline.

1st period was great. After that it was kind of a clown show for us. I guess Claesson played pretty well.....and Namestnikov did fine coming back from his injury. Hayes with 2 assists. So those would be my 3 stars. Henrik was awesome in OT but a couple of the goals he gave up looked a little weak.

I remember that Luongo is either really good or really bad at shootouts. Does anyone know which one it is? Based on tonight, it seems he’s pretty bad, but it could be a fluke.

Holy shit that save by Hank late in the 3rd. Challenges open shooter in prime scoring range, goes into the splits-ala-Richter, reacts to the puck going top shelf and flings his glove up at the last second and gets a piece of the puck.

None of that ‘the puck was shot into the glove’. Real deal.
