The Rangers do suck, yes, but I think this also speaks to how consistently he stays in games. Rarely gets racked up.
Ottawa seems to have that effect on peoplePost-Game notes
Matt Beleskey referring to “Matt Beleskey hockey” (lol, okay)
Zibanejad is so much more comfortable in interviews. Interesting evolution. He’s more comfortable with everything.
Last note - I believe Mika’s father slipped in the pregame, citing that his son found his passion for the game again in NY (not verbatim, but very close) suggesting he lost that with Ottawa.
Zibanejad is really taking a step forward and he's realizing the potential he's always had. He's looked very good all year. 27 points in 29 games.Post-Game notes

I thought it was his time off, but he certainly looked uncomfortable most of the game. Maybe it was the pads.I thought so. He was sliding quite a bit more than usual (at least during the first period; missed the rest).
Yeah, not surprising. He definitely didn't look comfortable all night. As a goalie I know how tough it is just getting used to new gear even when it's worked in, part of it is psychological too.I thought so. I really feel these wins are worthless especially blowing leads.
Hank not looking spectacular means this team is going down fast.
Why? Because Hank had 1 bad game?
Despite that “bad game” we don’t get 2 points without him..Why? Because Hank had 1 bad game?
I remember that Luongo is either really good or really bad at shootouts. Does anyone know which one it is? Based on tonight, it seems he’s pretty bad, but it could be a fluke.
Oooooooh. Finessenikov. Me likely!1st star: Finessenikov
2nd star: Hayes
3rd star: 20ft player Zibanejad
Matt Beleskey Hockey stole the night for me lol
Whats crazy is, how long he’s been doing this.
That’s what separates Lundqvist from pretty much everyone else.
You can make a damn good argument that he’s the best player in the history of this organization. That includes guys like Leetch, Messier, Giac, Ratelle, Boucher, Gilbert, and Bathgate.
Push comes to shove, I still have Leetch as the very best player in this teams history as far as production, longevity, and talent.. But HL is right there imo.
Honestly they really dont need them. What they need is a little more experience and with some of the goal scorers they have......Hayes would be a great fit. He would get a million assists. We should send him to a team with a lot of picks. Send him to Buffalo for some of their firsts
