Yup....they always get greedy .Hulu typically has the games listed in the first 3-4 rows so it's pretty easy to find once you're there. It's quite frustrating to have to use an app when paying so much for cable though.
And then these companies wonder why people pirate/stream illegally
I cut the cord, but now have Netflix, Prime, Fubo, Disney, Hulu, and ESPN+. The latter three we get “free” thanks to our Verizon Wireless plan, but still. I can probably bear to get rid of Netflix and Prime.

From the NHL.TV Subscription thread, which I recommend the mods to sticky. There's gonna be 2 more of these, against the Panthers in February and Pens in April.
But I do recall that the post-Thanksgiving game against the Bruins was on ABC. So these listings are subject to change?
how is fubo?
was looking at it today. Which plan did u get? Verizon Fios is becoming expensive as heck to watch stuff.
That game was also available on ESPN+, but we got switched to the ABC slot because the NHL didn't want to air the Blackhawks on network TV so close to the fallout from the Beach stuff.
Anything on ABC should also be on ESPN+ though.
I don't generally partake in the GDTs so it's hard to truly gauge, but when I do check in on the thread it appears I'm right there with those individuals who are watching on actual cable. It doesn't seem like there's a delay. In fact there have been a few instances where it seems like I'm actually a little bit ahead of the cable viewers--like 2-3 seconds or so. I think it's all pretty close. If there's any lag I don't think it's enough to be noticeable.Anyone know what the streaming delay is like compared to cable? Are we going to be a minute plus behind what’s actually happening or 15-20 seconds like cable?
I get ESPN+ with my Verizon Unlimited plan so I don’t pay extra but it is worth it for out of market games alone for their price. I understand why everyone’s upset though but one positive is that the video quality will be way better than cable on the TV and hopefully there’s no audio issues like MSG consistently has.
I like Fubo. I got the basic package for like $65 a month. With a billing address in the New York Metro Area, it comes with MSG and SNY. No YES though.

And it has Family Guy and King of the Hill full series if you're into that. Plus It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The League, Fargo, American Horror/Crime Stories and other FX shows.
Also the miniseries Dopesick on Hulu was really good. They have a decent catalogue over there.
So to answer your question. This is for ESPN+: I found it acts differently on different streaming platforms (ie Android TV vs Roku vs PC, etc.) If I'm remembering right, Roku you could pause at the beginning of stream and then wait and then press play. You can fast forward at differing speeds with multi button presses. Pretty standard and works well. I know that androidTV, you won't be able to pause because the TV will go into screensaver mode and once you press play again, the stream re-loads to real-time.
Best bet, and what I do, is start the stream on mute, preferably between periods, shield your eyes from possible spoilers and just hit the rewind button (a couple times to fastest rewind speed) so it goes back to beginning and go from there.
Worst thing about the changeover from NHL.tv to ESPN+ was the loss of 'start from beginning' option.

I don't know about NHL Live but the game is on the schedule for my NHL GameCenterI haven't looked yet, but I have NHL Live...are we screwed on getting this game tonight?
