HONESTLY I can’t stand that place. LOL. My parents love it, I think it’s awful. Maybe I’m the weird one. My favorite chain chicken place is Chick-fil-a. I also love the fried chicken at Bubba Gump, the chicken strips from the Cheescake Factory are excellent too

Raising Cane's is the best imo

A truly historic day

This is the first time in my life as a fan that I am unable to watch a game without paying for anything other than regular cable.

Actually, now that I think about it I do remember a couple games that I had to watch thru the squiggly lines on Sports Channel between 96 and 98 or something. I guess we needed a cable box for that channel? I didn't get one till later and then every game was on MSG.

ESPN + is worth it and I would've bought it but I work nights so it's not like I can sit there and watch tons of out of market games.

I'm lucky to have a TV at work that I control so I can at least put every Rangers game on, until tonight lol

This game is on Hulu? What the f*** is that? I have Hulu so it's not a huge deal but do I really need to go into Hulu and look for this, or can I still get it through my regular ESPN apps?

Hulu typically has the games listed in the first 3-4 rows so it's pretty easy to find once you're there. It's quite frustrating to have to use an app when paying so much for cable though.

And then these companies wonder why people pirate/stream illegally

Even the good ones here don't have that NL magic and love lol

What do you have Hulu for, isn’t it all reality TV? You watchin Keepin up with the Kardashians
I hope this games still on Center Ice then??
I'm honestly not sure what's on it, several months back there was a promotional price of like $1.99 per month and I got it because I knew my wife was interested. We have HBO, Showtime, Hulu, Netflix, Peacock. Paramount Plus, Amazon Prime Video, etc. Way too much shit on top of our regular cable. I mean I'm covered in terms of watching sports at this point but it feels absurd to have so many different things.

The NHL and ESPN are a joke. The NHL wants to get people to watch games so what do they do they get involved with a company that wants to charge people to watch your team. I have watched the Rangers since 1968 and never have i had to deal with this. The NHL is a embarrassment. At the very least it should be on local channel in the two teams markets like the NFL does when NFL network has exclusive rights.

I'm not going to get that upset over it but you're not wrong

In no other major sport is paying for cable not enough to watch every game of your local team.

It just feels wrong more than it angers me. Like I said, a historic day.

I'm beyond pissed about it. It's a hockey night I should be able to flip between the isles devs and rangers by pressings the "last" button no my remote, not having to fire up a different stream to check in on the other locals.

Anyone know what the streaming delay is like compared to cable? Are we going to be a minute plus behind what’s actually happening or 15-20 seconds like cable?

I get ESPN+ with my Verizon Unlimited plan so I don’t pay extra but it is worth it for out of market games alone for their price. I understand why everyone’s upset though but one positive is that the video quality will be way better than cable on the TV and hopefully there’s no audio issues like MSG consistently has.

Clearly the gods do not wish us the pain of watching this. Let us sacrifice a white bull to Jupiter in gratitude. Huzzah!

I have no issues with ESPN+. But I am being biased because I use it to watch another team that's not in the NY market. I think someone said it before, if you have Disney+, I believe there is a triple package where you can get Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN plus for like 12.99/month?

That's tremendous. I don't want any of them though. Enough is enough with he streaming services. They're getting to be as bad as having a cable bill!

This is the future now sadly. It's all about streaming, and the pandemic made streaming even more popular. Look at how bad the box office is doing now.

For a change, not having cable anymore works out for me. I get ESPN+, Hulu and Disney+ with my Verizon plan. NHL is actually cheaper this year. Except for the games they put on NHLN

If all someone wants is the hockey games, it's actually cheaper to live outside the local market.

Lets be real though, we can all see every game for free if we try hard enough.
