Georgiev first on for the morning skate. Igor came on late and is sticking to the side. Looks like Geo is in tonight.

Thread title should be updated to reflect that the game is also on ESPN+.

I'm honestly not sure what's on it, several months back there was a promotional price of like $1.99 per month and I got it because I knew my wife was interested. We have HBO, Showtime, Hulu, Netflix, Peacock. Paramount Plus, Amazon Prime Video, etc. Way too much shit on top of our regular cable. I mean I'm covered in terms of watching sports at this point but it feels absurd to have so many different things.

I now have hulu and espn+ Because of this.

however, i did it through verizon wireless. Somehow i upgraded my plan and since i already had disney+ through them it is only costing me $1 more per month.

and i get 600gb worth of storage. Not really sure how that all worked out

I hate all these streaming services

I found that Hulu is a third-party app hosted on my Xfinity cable service, and I can do a free trial. I'd like to do it, but:

1) Is the game on basic Hulu?

2) What am I being suckered into if I do the free trial? There's no information on trial length or other details before I push the button.

I cut the cord, but now have Netflix, Prime, Fubo, Disney, Hulu, and ESPN+. The latter three we get “free” thanks to our Verizon Wireless plan, but still. I can probably bear to get rid of Netflix and Prime.

You should be good to go with the regular hulu subscription

... HULU developed into a legit broadcasting network or what? Never though I'd see "NHL on HULU" lol

I'm expecting a curb stomp tonight.

I'm covered with streaming services pretty much the same way. It is what is.

Question - I normally watch hockey on DVR on a delay to avoid commercials. For live ESPN+ (or Hulu) streaming is there a way to pause (let's say at the start of the game) and scroll forward options?

So to answer your question. This is for ESPN+: I found it acts differently on different streaming platforms (ie Android TV vs Roku vs PC, etc.) If I'm remembering right, Roku you could pause at the beginning of stream and then wait and then press play. You can fast forward at differing speeds with multi button presses. Pretty standard and works well. I know that androidTV, you won't be able to pause because the TV will go into screensaver mode and once you press play again, the stream re-loads to real-time.

Best bet, and what I do, is start the stream on mute, preferably between periods, shield your eyes from possible spoilers and just hit the rewind button (a couple times to fastest rewind speed) so it goes back to beginning and go from there.

Worst thing about the changeover from NHL.tv to ESPN+ was the loss of 'start from beginning' option.

I signed up for ESPN+ when the announcement was made about their coverage.

Then I saw HULU on my credit card. I cancelled that right away. If my life was so bad that I had to watch HULU, I need another hobby.

There were a few games that were on NHL Network only. That is capitalism. The NHL sells the broadcasting rights to over 1300 games in the regular season.

The giant corporations are crushing America. Just like people made moonshine, people will find streams.

living in Colorado, I am happy this game is on ESPN+. Otherwise, I would be stretching the HDMI cable across the living room again.

I don't see how the Rangers can possibly overcome altitude sickness, yet I am predicting an incredibly close game, the Avs will win 9-2. It will be a barn burner until the end.

Makar will have 4 and 3 assists the usual game for a generational player like him and MacKinnon will have the other 5 goals. Oh and Trouba will open ice hit a player tonight and have to fight because clean hits are no longer allowed and need to be answered immediately.

That's tremendous. I don't want any of them though. Enough is enough with he streaming services. They're getting to be as bad as having a cable bill!
thats the crux of it.....one OR the other.
I cut my direcTV cable, and couldnt be happier. yeah, its a little strange acclimating to the different ways of streaming through different apps on TV (Hulu, ESPN+ and also have Sling.) once u get used to the remote and navigating.....you're IN baby!
my bill is less than HALF, and thats the bottom line. f off DirecTV.

Pretty much TV will be ala carte, pay for every channel you want to watch. TV will be like going to a steak place paying $60 for a steak and $15 bucks each for a stinking side.

What happened to the days of being able to drive down to the local video rental store and paying 9 dollars to rent a Nick Cage classic featured film and watching it 8 times in a week to get your money's worth?

After some quick research, I think it'll be better to do the Hulu free trial directly with Hulu through the computer instead of through Xfinity. Easier to cancel this way. Canceling Hulu through Xfinity might be harder. Hulu Help

Question for those who know. Does Hulu have Chromecast functionality?
