It wasn't talked about much previously but I can't figure out why anyone felt the need to lock up Goodrow long term.

If we're willing to gamble on a player like Goodrow for 6 years with a modified NTC at 3.6 why not just gamble on our actually good RFA's for slightly more?

What I'm seeing tonight it looks like Colorado has been watching the Rangers play all year. They are on top of every play we make, they are ready for most of the stuff we throw at them offensively in terms of looks and movement.

I'm not jumping to conclusions based on a few games with 2/3 being against the Avs, but what these games have exposed is how badly speed will totally negate Gallant's game.

We just don't have an answer for the Avs right now. They're not great defensively, but the speed of their offense is causing us to back up and make mistakes. With their speed, we can't even get from defense to quality offensive chances.

Goodrow has lost footspeed and it appears strength, just doesn't look like the same player

Its easy to defend against the Rangers. We dont really have a good cycle game so we attempt cross ice passes, clog center of the ice and its pretty much game over.

So frustrating to watch the PP just pass around the perimeter constantly when there is no lane to be had. Avs PK has that locked down big time.

I get that the PP is good and I should defer to that. But just so frustrating to watch.

When has Chytil stuck up for teammates and or played a physical game. One is soft as butter and looks hurt every shift. Needs more weight in his lanky body, the other is an all round player and a good 2 way player although he is not good at faceoffs but brings bite to his game and is more noticeable and has more skill.
What hockey player are you watching? Oh man…

Bite? Because has fought what? 3 times? How many times does he just fly by an opposing player and not finish a check?

He is far, very, very far, from an all-around good 2-way player.

Those are the traits where Strome and Chytil are similar. Could careless if Strome has “stuck up for a teammate”.

How did we accelerate the rebuild? Did we get rid of any picks or prospect?

Running off Kravtsov and importing win now pieces like Goodrow and Blais?

Trading Buch for Blais instead of Kupari and a first?

Re-signing Kreider when a mammoth haul that could have been used to acquire a legit long term center was on the table?

Gonna re-sign Strome to handicap our future even further?

Too much grit not enough speed and skill

Not sure I agree. That late Colorado goal was something we haven't seen much of this year, a garbage goal. Two guys in front, puck gets knocked down, rebound.

Panarin plays exclusively on the perimeter and refuses to make a cynical play.

I disagree with this. No team who ascended did so with keeping a lineup of entry level contract children for 5+ years.

This team is getting run all over the ice regardless of that last goal. We can’t keep up. We are way behind.

The priority of this team this season is to get Kakko and Lafreniere going, it shouldn't matter how that happens but it needs to or this rebuild is gonna staal(pun intended)

The organization is treating Kakko and Laf like passengers and, in turn, they’re playing like passengers. I wonder how they would respond to some urgency—they haven’t been pushed at all.
