No announcement for Greschner or Park means Lundqvist is next, IMO.

Lets win the game and for once not be pushed around like a bunch of pansies by these guys

I understand not many around have a connection to the guy but this is still a prestigious Ranger getting his number retired. They still get 17,000+ there a night even at absurd ticket prices. I know there will be tourists and corporate folks that don't care to show up on time but we're still looking at the building being basically 25-50% full. It's just a really bad showing.

I get that, but honestly, you get what you ask for when you remove many 'real fans' and replace them with corporate hacks and tourists.

I would still have my Rangers tickets (even though I live in Europe) if they didn't raise prices so crazily. The first season my family had seasons was in 2003. I was in the lower rung and it cost around $20/$25 a ticket. The last season I had them was 2016. I had moved up to the last row in the stadium and my ticket price was over $100/ticket. The ticket price for the equivalent to my original seat was something like $280. From $20 to $250+ in 14 years.

Even when I went to the finals game in 2014 it was embarassing how bad that crowd was. It was just a bunch of corporate hacks and ogglers who got into hockey because the Rangers finally went back to the cup. There was no emotion, barely any cheering before the game, etc. I began to feel like the last real fan in that place.

Honestly, to me, it's one of the worst parts about being a Rangers fan. We have some of the most passionate fans in the world and a real wide fanbase, but the prices are so high, that atmosphere is non-existent in the stadium now. Hell, even when I went to Montreal for a game the ticket prices were insanely cheaper.
