Truth be told, I don't really believe in retiring numbers at all.
I like the way Toronto does it, by honoring them. They are in the rafters, but still in use

They recently changed that and they are retired now.I like the way Toronto does it, by honoring them. They are in the rafters, but still in use
The guys in the 80's were tough but I don't recall any player who just likes hurting people as much as he does.Wilson would be nothing in the 1980's![]()
Yes and it suckedThey recently changed that and they are retired now.
They should retire Jagr's just so no idiot wears it. I hate that Hoffman took it in Florida. He looks like an idiot.

Which is why I hope under Quinn we stand up for ourselves and God forbid maybe even initiate.Seriously lol
This is the dirtiest team in the league
Gonna be a fun read

He used it for years. He just decided to stick with it. As long as teams don't retire a number, players can use it. DeAngelo using no 77 isn't an issue either
See, I'm hearing you, and then you take it 37 steps too far.Which is why I hope under Quinn we stand up for ourselves and God forbid maybe even initiate.
Perfect night would be a win and 3 rangers get ejected for intent to injure
The idea that DeAngelo using the number of Phil Esposito, who played six seasons with the Rangers more than 25 years ago is offensive is nonsensical. He used it for years. Yeah, he even asked Espo (completely unnecessary) and people were still mad.OMG....that went straight over my head. I thought he was talking about Ray Bourque, like a legendary player with an obscure number. HAHAHA

And Hoffman using no 68 in Florida, where Jagr played just a couple seasons, should not be an issue either. I could see people having an issue with it if it was Pittsburgh, but even then... If a number isn't retired, so be it
Who hurt you
Skjei is sitting it seems
I certainly hope we never see someone like Milbury on the ice again, that's for sureThis dude watches every game in the hopes he will witness a replay of the shoe game with Mike Milbury. He still hasn't realized that's not the way the game is played today, nor will it ever be again.
