  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
I agree that they could have more of an edge. For all the focus on bringing in Hathaway, Deslauries, Ristolainen, Seeler, and retaining Laughton…

Are they one of the more punishing clubs in the league? I haven’t watched enough in a few years to know, but I’ll venture a guess - and say no.

The game today has gotten a little too soft even for me, I’ll bite on that one - but as always. Find the talent first, then go for the intangibles. Kucherov, and Point aren’t bruisers, nor is Rantanen or Makar. Talent beats all.

They want to be more Flyer like under Jones, and Danny. Have they been? Other than good old Comcast propaganda?
Flyers have been one of the smallest teams in the league for a while, the difference is they're faster and quicker than they've been. But their undersized quick guys, other than Michkov, don't have elite skills.

Florida and especially Boston are two of the most physical teams (Boston and Vegas the biggest teams). That physicality wore on the Flyers by the 3rd period of both games.

They need size with skill to balance out the roster, especially the bottom six and on defensive pairs.

I suspect they probably tried to trade up for Dickinson (who's tearing up the OHL this season) b/c he has the size/speed/skill combo they're looking for.
