#27 | Flyers at Bruins | Saturday, December 7, 2024 | 1:00 PM | NHLN, 97.5 FM

Between NHLN and a busy night/day I couldn't watch this one. Gazed at box scores and stats for a while.

How they hell did they blow this one?

I don’t believe that Cellebrini or Bedard are allowed to be mugged like Michkov was subjected to in this game. It was obvious from the drop of the opening puck that Boston’s plan for dealing with Michkov was to beat him up. No one is asking for the good young players to be given the protection that Bettman gave Crosby came into the league but opponents can’t be allowed to get away with beating on the young guns.

I feel like that is going to be an ongoing thing...while we have other talent on the team...teams will focus on the kid with the most talent to either get him off his game or make his teammates do stupid shit

They've been taking stupid penalties the last few games after a 7 game stretch in which they played smart. Torts trying to send a message - TK's penalty was absolutely brain dead, but also too many careless stick penalties when they're just throwing sticks out there wildly, Couts should know better.

"revenge is a dish best served cold," the team has MacAvoy's number, but that wasn't the time or place.

The refs were pretty awful, called Hathaway on a ticky tack love pat but not a vicious slash at the end of the game. And the hit that took off TK's helmet wasn't called either.

The PK has slipped the last couple weeks, need to get back on track.

Kolosov had a really good game, looks like he's going to be #2 when Ersson returns.

Wonder if they'll waive Fedotov to LHV, see if someone claims him and takes his contract off their hands, or if not, work on his game and see if they can salvage him.

If opponents are going to mug Michkov then the Flyers should mug their best player. Today, they should have run Pasternak as hard or harder than Michkov was.

Crosby had over 100 PIMs in his rookie year because he was getting mugged every game and was standing up for himself.

Guys are going to take liberties with young stars. It happens and I'm glad the Flyers have a pack mentality to protect him... but Boston, and specifically McAvoy, tapped into something this game that the Flyers need to avoid.

They can protect Michkov without collectively losing their shit. That third period was an incredible example of a mentally fragile franchise.

I have no problem with Tippett making a run at MacAvoy when he was mugging Michkov, the refs were just watching and doing nothing. Can't let him beat up a teammate like that.

But TK taking a run at MacAvoy with the game on the line was incredibly stupid.

Yeah, a lot of the whiner label Crosby was hit with was the way he acted entitled to special treatment and was instead roughed up hard, constantly.

Hell, the Flyers gave him a TON of shit.
