I think people are being emotional when they trash lundqvist on that goal. Hardest shooter in the league from the high slot after a turnover.... nice to see a save there but its not a terrible goal.

It's a hard shot from Chara that beats plenty of goaltenders. Chara is one of the few players in the NHL that can beat a goaltender from that far out because he has the hardest shot in the world.

If you were being objective, you would see that world class goaltender on the other side let up two soft goals, yet he is the winning goaltender right now.

The better team is winning. Period. Rangers have put in a dud of a performance. To put this blame on Lundqvist, when the team has stunk, and Rask has stunk, would be blatant bias against him.

Just because it can, doesn't mean it should.

More like anyone who doesn't see you eagerly pushing your agenda has blinders on. Give it a rest.

I dont think he has an agenda. He has been defending Hank quite a lot this season around the boards. I chalk it up to fan overeacting in the heat of the moment.

I'm a poster on hfboards and I'm a Rangers fan and I think we have to trade every player on the team except for McDonaugh.. (Mocking all the so called Rangers "fans.")

A bit of an exaggeration, but you're not too far off.

I'll continue to support them no matter what, but I've never hated a Rangers group more than this one. I despise so many players on the team.

Only these fans could blame a guy for the puck bouncing off his arm into the goal, but completely absolve a goalie of letting in a soft goal from the blue line.

Hard shot or not, that should be a routine pad save for a butterfly goalie.

And you're going to defend him no matter what. The other two goals weren't his fault and weren't bad goals. Everyone knows you can't be objective.

I absolutely can be objective, but thats not a soft goal. Sometimes you have to give credit to the OTHER team/player. He absolutely ripped that shot.

Again, if you've never stood in front of a bomb from the point and let a shot in, you have no idea that sometimes its near impossible to react to something coming at you THAT quick.

All the armchair goalies/hockey players here will still force their uneducated opinions on the rest of us.

Yes. An unscreened shot from the point that was not high under the crossbar (and was actually quite near the middle of the net) is a horrendous goal to give up. Especially late in the game when Hank should be in the zone.

Absolutely, no excuse.

Unscreened, right into his damn chest.

Unbelievable.

Call it whatever you want, he was wide open in the middle of the ice. Maybe Lundqvist should have stopped it, but we've been playing like garbage all day, this was inevitable.

Sorry man, but a superstar goalie makes that stop. Lundqvist has been playing a level below this entire year so far. Late in a tie game? That shot has to be saved. Period.

And some people on this board want to pay a goalie nine ****ing million dollars. Let that sink in.

That was not a soft goal... WOuld have been good to stop, but soft it was not.

Either way, our team isn't good. People blamed Torts last year and they were horribly wrong, this year they are looking in the wrong directions to place blame.

The Rangers are incredibly soft, and don't have enough dynamic offensive players. It's really that simple. Goalie and coaching is, and wasn't the problem.

Just because it can, doesn't mean it should.

Again, you side step the fact that the better team is winning and that Rask hasn't been tested, and let up two soft goals.

Don't try and pin this on Lundqvist. It comes off as completely bias. Rask let up two soft goals, and the Rangers quit playing.

You can't sit back against the Bruins with a one goal lead and expect to win. Rangers stunk big time thus far.

why is nobody addressing the fact that we can't generate offense for **** and our style of play is looking more and more like last years dump and chase hand on for dear life crap

For what its worth, Eddie O said it was a bad goal too.

But you played beer league goalie and he didn't, so I guess you know more than him.
