Chara is a badass and being a badass made him the best dman in the league for over a decade.

it's pretty annoying

I'd imagine it's because of how NYers are viewed around the world - especially compared to the generally mild-mannered good ol' Canadian boys - and guys like Pierre and Milbury have made it their life-long missions to try and take the big bad NY monster down a peg. Plus Milbury is from Boston so he's like if an every day fan was able to land a broadcasting gig.

Not that Boyle would have won that fight, but Chara punched Boyle before he even got one glove off.

Chara is a *****. Gets the "feared" label because he can ragdoll almost anyone in the league just because he's so much bigger.

Again, Boyle would have almost certainly lost that fight badly anyway, but you don't see fighters who follow "the code" suckerpunching opponents before their gloves are even off.

The winter classic just doesn't do it for me. Kinda pissed 4 points are up for grabs based on a gimmick in horrid ice conditions.

He took Chara off the ice for five minutes. That's a very smart choice and well worth getting his face pounded.

Nasty turnover in the first period may have had something to do with it. He's averaging about one brain fart per game.

He's got close to 9 minutes and no Pyatt isn't playing more he has less than 8.
