We need to stop trying to play this game and try and give the forwards some breathing room. If they just focus on a better transition and a quicker outlet, we can use our skilled forwards. We hold on to the puck forever and ever and then slow down at the blue line and then fail to get puck possession or have any speed to drive to the net or push the d back or make quick passes because everyone is drifting and waiting for something to happen.

The Kings? Yes.

The only compelling argument against firing Torts is the short schedule. Firing a coach with few games left for the team to adjust to a new style is... interesting. I'm not opposed to it, but there are arguments against it. The other argument is that a guy who got us to the ECF before the lockout should be given at least ONE regular, full season, with his traditional training camp, etc. before being given the boot in a 48 game season.

The Kings were an aberration, and everyone knows it. They were classified as a Cup contender at the beginning of last season but suffered when their top D held out for a while and had horrible coaching for the first half. Everyone knows they were underachieving big time in the first half.

Using them as an example of the typical 8th seed is idiotic.

I seriously have gotten so sick of watching Torts hockey. It almost sucks that we got to the ECF last year, gives him too much job security.

... we were labeled as a Cup contender from the beginning of the season, are under performing, and are being poorly coached...
