Yup I was just saying it again. :p

Also That Kreider goal, dude is going to make me run out of shorts I keep soiling.
Ahh my bad. I misunderstood, because I thought you misunderstood lol. And yea he keeps netting in beauties. Such a great release.

The current NHL point system is a number trick.

It’s similar to when products went from costing $200 to $199.99.

“Hey that’s a pretty good deal.”

Outside of the ultimate 4/5 and bottom
4/5, the bloated middle of standings keeps the fans into it.

It used to be by February that you could almost mathematically see your team eliminated.

Now...

“Yo we only 3 points out from the Presidents trophy or 4 points from the number 1 overall pick in last place!”

Names might have a concussion.

Loved seeing Andersson, Chytil, Quinn and Kreider giving the kid some love there.

Kreider has developed into a real leader on this team. Hes captain material.

Tonight's game was like the matrix or something.

Zibanejad is a former Senator, as is Claesson, although he didn't play tonight.

Brady Tkachuk and Kevin Hayes are cousins.

Brady Tkachuk is also related to Tom Fitzgerald, who was signed to play for the Boston Bruins in 2005 by Jeff Gorton.

Tkachuk was coached at BU by David Quinn.

Magnus Paajarvi and Kevin Shattenkirk were teammates in St. Louis.

Mikkel Boedker and Cody McLeod were teammates in Colorado.

Oh, and this one has nothing to do with the Senators, but the pick Arizona traded to Tampa to acquire Tony DeAngelo was used to select Libor Hajek.

Picking up the butt goal mantle from Nash.

No Rick Nash had the butt things and stuff not the butt goal. He did many things AND stuff with the butt move except for scoring.

At times, I was told he was driving the entire offense with his butt regardless of if he or his linemates registered any points.

Lias was able to do more than things and stuff with his butt, so time will tell if it will continue, but it’s a little early to equate their respective butts.

You’re right but they don’t need to be hyperbolic lol

No one is going to remember this random game against Ottawa 3 months from now
True.

Except for Lias. "That's the game where it scored a goal off my butt!"

I think that's a concussion too. He's a bit of an exasperating player at times but he works hard. I'm thinking Zuccarello will be back on Thursday---two more days of rest for him anyway. Good for Gettinger as he stays up.

A good third period. I'm glad Lias got on the board. It wasn't pretty but sometimes you need a little luck. Kreider, Zibanejad and Hayes are all playing pretty well and putting up points. Nice to see Staal get his 1st too. Great play by Chytil on the Kreider goal and so far I think Ryan Strome has been pretty good.

Glad Mika got that EN goal. He was getting robbed all night and definitely deserved that one. 2nd Star of the game!

So obvious to me......been saying this for 2+ years now, since Steps leaving. I knew it would take time.....but, it is so obvious that he really IS the leader on this team.......he just needed a little more consistency and scoring to solidify what he does and says off the ice. Always said......a defensive player is NOT the best choice for a Captain, as in McD choice. BAD, VERY BAD CHOICE.
