Certainly not going to suggest that you’re wrong about any of what you posted.
I just look at this team and see the real need for at least one guy from the outside who can score 28-30 and make it so the second line is legit.
If they are lucky enough to draft a kid who can contribute in the 15-25-40 range, playing somewhat sheltered minutes, re-sign Geekie and hope that the E. Lindholm we’ve seen for the last month shows up in September, they are a legit playoff team with this as the top 6:
Pasta, Lindholm, Geekie, Zacha, Middlestadt, Boeser or Ehlers
Then:
Khustandinov, Draftee, Minten, Kastelic, Koepke, etc. in the bottom six.
Not a cup winner, but if the defense even plays to their average and Swayman does what he’s capable of, we’re watching real hockey next April, IMO.
