Couple Minnesota fans saying Khusnutdinov isn't an NHL player and his offense hasn't developed at the NHL level. There are Youtube videos out there of his KHL time and there is skill there.

Sounds like Khustnidinov has some potential. Very speedy. Obviously 11 points in 73 NHL games isn't great but maybe there's something there. I would send him to Providence and have him play the rest of the season out there. He can play C and W.

You get Lauko who replaces Brazeau on the roster; 4th liner / 13th forward. He plays hard and brings it and this team needs that. I'm sure he's happy to be back as well.

I like the deal. Not what I was expecting but could be interesting down the road, depending on what you get out of Khusnutdinov. Maybe he replaces Merkulov or Lysell, if you call them up after the TDL. If he sticks in the NHL, I'm not expecting much. Change of scenery? Who knows.

Lauko is better then brazzeau and that 2nd round prospect is icing on the cake. I'll take it.

Hard to say he's better. Brazeau, thus far, has been more productive. They do different things. Lauko is speedy and plays high energy 4th line hockey. Brazeau is big and can work the net front. He has soft hands and can produce a bit for a big man. Speed holds him back though. Will that be his demise in the league? Who knows.

Lauko has that more traditional 4th line game, but he's not overly productive. Brazeau has 4 more points than he does in 45 less games.

End of the day, Boston swapped a couple 4th liners (which is what I see Brazeau as on a contender) and got a wildcard in Khusnutdinov who maybe can develop into something.

Another really good deal.

Lauko is a terrific 4th liner and PK'er with some moxy, and Khusnutdinov is a skilled, two-way center prospect. He's 22 years old and was drafted 37th overall. That's a terrific return for Brazeau.
PKer? The Bruins surely have no use for one of those.

Lauko ain't all that much at the end of the day, but he's a super good dude/teammate. And he can effectively kill a goddamned penalty, so one for the good guys here, I guess.
