Boston Bruins 24-25 Roster/Cap thread XVIII ( if trades occur use specific trade thread)

Honestly if we are moving Carlo, I feel like we should target a team like Buffalo. They need players that can fill out their roster now and Carlo fits there age group, has more years left and fills a need for them. In return we should get one of their higher end prospects/picks that they have a ton of. Honestly maybe even Coyle would fit there, they have the offense but not those types of players that they need to fill out their roster.
Hello, Sabres fan here in peace. I've noticed a lot of tweets about us scouting each other in recent weeks.

How would you all feel about Isak Rosen for Carlo (assuming we aren't on his list, which I'm sure we are)? Rosen should be ready to slide in to an NHL lineup next year.

I'm going out on a limb to say Coyle won't be traded now or in the summer. A - Because like everyone else his stats are impacted by 2 #1 D men out of line up ; B - Next to Brad, he's the hardest working bruin; C - For his age, he has not lost a step; D - Bruins have nobody that can play up down the line up like Coyle (incl. playing center / taking draws). For this fan, he's a keeper.

Kulich for Carlo makes more sense for the Bruins

I guess the plan is to give the prospects more AHL ice time? I don’t understand how Brown, Brazeau, Lettieri, etc getting NHL minutes helps this team in the slightest. Maybe they are hoping someone will offer spare change for them?

I dig it. I suggested Pionk and Ehlers in a previous post about a month or so.

I was told that, and I shit you not, Ehlers is a one trick pony. That trick of course being a speedy offensive winger. Now why would the Boston Bruins want a guy like that?

Rosen will never be an NHL player with a mouth that small

I don't anything about him. Bruins need more speed, scoring, and skill in the top 6 and any player who's young and projects to be a top 6 guy I hope the Bruins are targeting with a Carlo trade but that also leaves a big hole in the top 4 D.

I think they could get into the Top 5. Since New Year's only SJ, Chicago and Pittsburgh have a worse record (pts. and pts. %). Bruins 29th in both categories.
I do hope so. Will make for some truly awful hockey to watch, but at this stage if we could get top five I would be ecstatic. And that is no hyperbole at all. Top 5 would be superb.

Guys and gals the more I think about our current state of the Bruins organization the more I feel for most of us 2011 was our last chance to see a cup . It took over 40 years in between the last win and now it's been 14 years since. 2019 was our golden ticket to get one more because of the easy trail it was to get to final when heavyweight Tampa got knocked out by Columbus. Blowing game 7 at home makes it more depressing the more I think about our current state. I'm an optimist always but also a realist. It's kinda interesting to tank and hope were gonna nab the next Bergeron and next krejci and bingo were back but to get legends like that is pure lottery luck. Possible but not probable. I will cheer on my team no matter what and I love going back and forth with you all wonderful people each day but winning a cup is no small task and at the moment I'm looking at my picture with tyler seguin with cup and my son right beside him and how lucky I was to have this picture in my house. Ask leaf fans buffalo or even Vancouver fans what it means to be in a serious drought. Let's hope we nab one more before the lights turn out and we all celebrate together at the parade with me holding a bag of jalapeno doritos cheering. Let's go with the tankathon and get a serious piece to get that elusive silvery mug.😃
Where were you all the day the don godfather implied offspring

This is a lineup that has a top 5 pick possibility all over it, even without making anymore deals for the future.

GB: "Donny? Gary Bettman here. Just saw your practice lines. You're not playing games here, are you?"

DS: "Gary. We are dinged up pretty bad and this is the best I got. We're not super deep down in Providence."

GB: "Really?"

DS: "Yeah, really."

GB: "There are no guns or weapons of any kind in your house, are there Donny?

GB: "Donny????"

Send down Merkulov (an RFA) and Viel (signed for next year) to bring up 3 UFAs. Are they showcasing any of them to deadline buyers looking for depth forwards?
I mean maybe I guess? All those guys kinda are what they are, strange that any team would need another game to view them

Chicago has a new/legit goalie now and San Jose has a young team that might improve down the stretch.

Tank.
Taaaaaaaank!

The play 13 of the remaining 19 games against teams with higher pts. %. 12 of 19 on the road.

If they can maintain a .400 pts. % that's 15 points out of a remaining 38. I think they can get that down to 10 points and a high draft pick.
