Yea, i get the point of closing it, because I think it would of been pretty unanimous in trading him, as are most of the quotes in all the other Marchand threads, but it would of been something to checkout during the break, unless of course you were in favor of keeping Marchy. Lol

This team needs a hard re-tool, the plan seems really obvious to me.

Yes, I would be open with him about it, try to get him where he wants to be, but in the end, there are 20 plus teams he can be dealt to without his consent, so I would hope he understands it's a business at this point.

i said it before, but i'd try to go the keith tkachuk from STL to ATL route - grab the assets and then sign him on july 1.

They might just trade expiring contracts to add picks. If the team isn’t going to make the playoffs then they will add as many picks and prospects as they can.

Then where do they go from there, picks will be 3-4 maybe 5 years away, do they FA, and what would they be looking at, what is the outlook with Pasta and McAvoy, if they do not have a playoff team next year and after, do you trade them also, or do they flip some picks for instant help..........Bottom line there is a lot going on, and tough decisions to be made, do we have the right people in position to make these decisions and do they have a plan.

That's where I am at.Does Boston have the right people in place to make such picks if they aquire them?Nothing suggests they do .

He can still play but at what number? Not totally opposed but I am tired of this group, We had the ultimate **** tease of the guys coming back for 2022-23 which ended up as a troll... I love what he brought, great hockey, great entertainment but it's time for the next group to be the leaders and move away from the old guard. Just ready to move into a new era of Bruins hockey and I would like a new GM from another organization to make some tough decisions on players he or she may or may not view as highly as the current regime. Just tired of seeing the same guys lose when they should win and lose when they should lose. When they win its generally a super human goalie performance too. Damn we basically owe a world of thanks to the Toronto Maple Leafs franchise because without them it would be a lot worse

It’s for this reason I’m dealing pasta - makes no sense to keep him when his greater value is restocking

Yep. People are acting like this is an expansion team. They have a lot of pieces already in place, they just need a change in the front office to bld around them. Sweeney has proven he’s not that guy
