I agree, but at the same time don't want to create more than one or two holes on the roster. Most general managers operate by moving what is replaceable in the short term-even in a rebuild.
Yeah….which is silly, IMO.
if you’re on the playoff bubble, or outside of it, and you move a guy or three who is in the top 10 on your roster, the plan should be clear.
There is enough positional flexibility, IMO that they can make several deals and have lineup legitimacy, as long as people understand some guys (Poitras, maybe Lysell and Merkulov) might be playing over their head for a bit to foster development and/or to figure out where and if they fit.
