I don't want the Bruins to sell, but they better start winning because as of tonight, they're sitting in 11th place in the East, and would be drafting 13th overall.
I get the points percentage thing but that’s doesn’t mean the three teams behind them are going to pass them

I agree decisions need to be made on who they will extend and who they will deal

All this being said I think the Bruins as an 8 seed with Swayman is doomsday for Toronto
This isn't last year. It would take facing Hildeby \Murray for Boston to beat
Toronto, if they even make PO. Even then I still take Leafs. Boston caught
enormous breaks with injuries to Matthews & Nylander.

In addition you have Berube behind the bench now. He can out coach Sacco in his sleep.

They are aggressive now. They hit and finish checks. Totally different mindset. I keep harping on this. The Bruins aren’t this bad. They aren’t cached to be aggressive. How hard can it be to tell these guys to finish your checks. You don’t, you don’t play.

I’m thinking there would have been a trade/shake up of some sort if they had lost to Florida Saturday.— I think the win resulted in. “We believe in the guys we have. I feel confident in this group going forward.”

I agree with the Berube vs Sacco. We should have dumped Monty and hired Berube when we had the chance. I don’t have any real issues with Sacco, but Berube seems to ice a much more aggressive team no matter the players. (Barbashev)

If Sweeney/Neely felt like that while watching Swayman play out of his mind & Florida dominate possession having over 100 shot attempts. Well then that reaffirms my beliefs that they need to go.

Other than Swayman and Geekie, there was nothing to feel good about.
Massively outplayed and won on an opponents tip from 25 feet away.
Yeah Florida got a fluke, but when you have 109 shooting attempts
and you get 38, Florida is 3 times as likely to get one than you.
109 ****ing shooting attempts to 38, don't you have a great feeling going
forward?

If you aren't trading #73\88 you're not getting anyones #1.
Nick Foligno and other lesser players can earn a 1st at the deadline. I do imagine a desperate grass is always greener GM would trade a later 1st for Frederic.

Question is will Sweeney/Neely accept the larceny or will pride factor in again.

They didn't beat Florida. Swayman did.

Everyone including management knows you lose that game 99 times out of 100.

Bruins top 6 doesn't have a high end #2, never mind a top 20 #1C. Zacha is a mid level #2C, Lindholm is a mid level 3C and Coyle looks like he is seriously regressing and is a low level 3C. They are completely screwed at Center right now. Poitras at best will be a mid level 2C.

Can't see them outside of dealing McAvoy getting a #1C.

If they aren't willing to trade McAvoy and are 6 points out of a PO spot at the 4 Nations, I would seriously consider a 2 month tank for Misa\Hagens by shutting down Pastrnak and H. Lindholm for the year. Trade Marchand for a #1 and hope that team goes out in 1st Round.

I would sign Geekie right now with Zacha deal. Bring up Poitras and Lysell after
4 Nations.

They are doomed to being a bubble team\DNQ with a Center group of Zacha - Poitras - E. Lindholm.

If a new CBA allows it I buyout E. Lindholm. You can't be paying a 3C, 7M+, that simple.
Unfortunately if they trade Marchand I will be rooting for his new team to win the Cup, not for a higher first

Barkov 2 OA
Tkachuk 3 OA (Huberdeau 3 OA trade)
Ekblad 1 OA
Reinhart 2 OA
Gudbranson 3 OA
Tippett 10 OA
A Knight 13 OA
Lundell 12 OA

Bruins are trying to win a Cup making the perfect team so there upbeat cheerful kind and classy fan base can sleep well at night, while Florida for 7 years is sucking

if the Bruins were the Florida Panthers the last 15 years this place would have 1/3 the members
Absolutely on the money. FLA made some good/excellent trades but bottom line is that is some draft pedigree there.

To be honest, I lived through the 1972-2011 drought. Not to mention the Patriot years when we suuuuuuuccccckkkked (I mean Steve Grogan sucked era). And of course the Red Sox prior to 2004.

So I mean this when I say I don't really give a shit about what a "me me me -- now now now" generation of sports fans want. Build it the right way and who gives a shit whether there is a dip in HF Boards, game attendance, or tv viewership. I think the Patriots showed that past sins are pretty quickly forgiven and they ALL come back in droves with their 100% margin pink hats, tshirts, and mega chains.

And before someone says (rightly so, I admit) "hey, it's not your money or team" I would like to give you two numbers.

$2.67 Billion.

$4.6 Billion.

One is the present estimate of the value of the Boston Bruins. The second is the 2024 estimate of the net worth of one Jeremy Jacobs.

f*** me. Build the team the right way and forego buying a extra $75 million dollar house or $100 million dollar yacht........................ for a year.

It’s a great argument and I’m watching the GB - Eagles game with Joe and he agrees with me

If you asked the average Bruins fan how many points the Panthers finished ahead of the Bruins last year you might get 25 points - I believe it was 1 point

If you asked the average Bruins fan what the Panthers - Bruins series was last year they would say swept

The Panthers are not a great f***ing team
That's a problem then. Because, as much as I appreciated the effort and resilience the other day, they absolutely dominated Boston. Boys among men.

And who needs to be the f***ing dynasty Edmonton Oilers or New York Islanders? Most recent Cup winner is fine with me.

I need to ask, I know they are working on this site, but is anyone else have the same problems, I keep getting knocked off and need to keep logging in, plus the background sucks, but I put that up to the changes the are making and was trying to be patient.

There's 6 teams who have 3 games in hand on the Bruins, and if they win all their games their statistically ahead of the Bruins, I agree more than likely that wont happen, and 4 of of those teams have a higher winning percentage, but I'd bet your house on it, that at least half of those teams pass the Bruins in the standings when all games are equal..

I would have to think the Bruins have made internal evaluations on this current roster and have a plan on who's in and who's out.

The problem is when do they pull down the lever on the season, I honestly can't see them blowing anything up in regards to the core group. This is a thin roster that is filled with third line player and a few top end guys.

The D to me is not as broken as we think, Lindholm was a major blow and once he returns the pairs should fall in place.

Guys that I can see moving are Carlo and Freddy. Both will bring back some nice assets and would be great pick ups for teams contending at the deadline.

I also feel losing those two will not send the Bruins into a further sinkhole but are guys with tremendous value in a trade.

My 2 pennies worth

More damning is the goal differential although it's been better under Sacco and Swayman is coming on. There is still alot of hockey left, so we will see where everyone is when they play 82
