I don't blame Donny for that, but there is a big difference in adding to a core and building a core.Far as Marchand goes I agree with you.
Deadline circumstance dictates what you are building. When you go for broke you are not thinking about the future its the now.

Can't have it both ways. The depth of talent and the lack of is specifically tied to trying win every year.

Personally I would rather keep the playoff gate possible rather than being able to brag we have the best prospects.

The irony is Lettieri is playing with Poitras and Merkulov most nights. Lettieri may have the most goals, but he's not going to have the linemates to get him the puck like he has had in Providence. I hope I'm wrong.

One round and out, isn't very much of an accomplishment. I'd much rather win a cup than brag about making the playoffs, or for the matter bite the bullet when imo its more than apparent this team just isn't very good. There's a time you have to realize its time to sell and there's a time to buy and right now its looking like its a time sell and move forward towards next year and beyond.

Soon to be 30 year-old. I think he is what he is at this point, but congrats to him on the call-up.

We saw him before- good AHL player, nothing special in the NHL and no kind of answer for the Bruins' issues. Probably deserves it and if Kastelic is back, probably sits on the 9th floor.

If they're gonna call up a vet then I guess I'm happy it's Lettieri since he actually has some skating and scoring ability. It's still just shuffling deck chairs and I'd prefer one of the kids, but at least it's not like Brown, Jones, or Tufte.

Most goals, second in assists, most PPG, knows the NHL game. It makes sense to give him the call but it isn't exciting and kinda an admission of their desperate times.

He is a 13th forward at best.
I am happy for our cousin Vinny getting the call.
It's sad that all we can call up is an aging, undersized forward with 12 goals in 129 NHL games.
I guess this means Lysell and Potsy are staying in the AHL for another 30 days?

Yes,but I would of liked to seen some desperation of yelling out for someone with some skill and creativity, someone who could actually play in the top six, skill wise.

I been told he’s a bust
You could be correct, only time will tell.
We def. took a big chance drafting him at #25.
Let's circle back in 2-3 years.
I quickly took a look at players we could have drafted from 26-35 instead of Dean and there are many examples of players lighting it up in Junior.
Lucas Pettersson a center playing in Sweden has 7 goals in 12 games playing pro hockey against Men.

From listening to Chris and Dom’s podcast, when calling up a player the team is looking to replace the player who is out. In this case it is Kastelic. Now, if it was Coyle, Marchand or Elias that was out - I could understand the frustration. Vinny plays a game that is more suited to replace Kastelic. He also deserves the opportunity to get claimed on the way back down.

Oates would be a good add.
Former player, needed for the power play, presumably has coaching experience to be able to come in and step into a role on a staff.

It's gotta be Oates.

That's pretty much what happens in most cases, If Pasta went out it would be Fabian the greats chance to shine
