Is one trade going to fix things here? They’ve changed coaches and are still stuck in this malaise.

Is it time to consider the nuclear option? Build around Pastrnak McAvoy Poitras Lohrei? Or sell them all? This isn’t a coaching issue cleary. The construction of this roster IS the problem.

No, one trade won't fix things, but it's a step forward. You don't build a wall all at once, you do it brick by brick. I mean, if you need 10 really good players to contend, and the Bruins have 6 or 7, adding Petterson gets you one step closer.

Well, you might want to offer up an apology.

Charlie is the Boston Bruins CEO and Alternate Governor to the NHL. Yes, he happens to be Jeremy Jacobs son. That said, I would assume he’s also a part owner, or if not one would think he’s a pretty good candidate for being so in not too far future. Would you agree?

If going after Jeremy (Owner) and Charlie (CEO) is somehow equated to having a go at the Jacobs “family” that’s complete and utter bullshit. And you know it - not should know it — you know it.

You’re entitled to disagree and think my criticism is overblown. Have at it.

It is far too soon to give up on this core. I agree that a shakeup trade would help. Pettersson would be a major addition. I don’t feel Sweeney is capable of making that happen. Move out any UFA’s. Youth movement.

You get a trophy for most points - Whoopie shit, you get a higher seed position - wowwee

What you want is the 8th spot

You’re in which is the whole point

but you’re options are fantastic
1. You win round 1 your season is basically made it’s all gravy and you ruined a fan bases summer minimum

2. You lose well you get a very good draft spot where guys like Connor, Harley, Norris, Thomas, Mercer, Barlow etc all went

3. And it makes the regular season interesting come late March when the games actually are interesting unlike 110 point teams set since Black Friday

Any GM authorized to trade any first or second round picks without at least the following year term should be fired

The Bruins are the proof - 2014-2023 most points, most Prez trophies (3), most first round picks traded (5), second round picks (4); 0.0 Cups

This rental culture is garbage, trying to build a super team a waste

7th or 8th is your best bang for entertainment/interest/fun/future

Definitely a lot less stressful being the 8th seed because as a fan you don't expect as much, and we all know from that record breaking season that regular season proves nothing.

I'm on the fence if I want them to make it and see if they can surprise a team or two or just sell off a bit of their UFAs and regroup for next year.

Next few months should be interesting either way

Holy crap! is that the rumor? The only substance you are trading is Zacha. Fred and Carlo are a good salary dump and lysell is lysell. Would hurt more if it was Poitras.
