Looking at WJC rosters it’s emberaassing we have no players competeing

STL has 9
SEA has 8
NAS has 8

Something seriously wrong with scouting and development program
What happens when you have a team constantly at the top of the league and making the playoffs. I take that over prospects playing 2 week mini tournament.

After all this, Razor being more optimistic was the better take. Guess he does know his stuff.

I wouldn't want to be SEA or NAS. STL we can maybe debate. MAYBE.

To be fair were the only NHL team with 0 players in the tournament. Even Tampa and Toronto who have been consistent as us making the playoffs each still have 2 players on their teams make it

#freepoitras.
I like the idea of keeping him down for as long as you can. I think BlackFrancis said call him up with 30 games to go.

If this team adds a 1LW via trade, a 3C (Poitras) and gets Hampus back, they could be something down the stretch...

Kreider - Zacha - Pastrnak
March - Lindholm - Coyle
Geekie - Poitras - Brazeau
Beecher - Kastelic - Koepke

If you’re going to add Kreider you need to take a significant piece off this roster cap wise.

what’s worse is all 25 guys are elite prospects on Canada or US

Fire Sweeney & Cam

Aren’t they all doing awesome ? The Preds I think are in first place or were a couple years ago

Kreider -Zacha -Pasta

The bomb

Donny, let’s f***ing go !!!!!

He’s one of us North Shore guys

Chris Kreider is almost the perfect example of exactly what this team should desperately avoid

Cmon guys
I think he'd be fine here it's just a matter of getting money retained. Couple vets like Kreider and Palmeiri would make it much easier to slot Poitras permanently into 3C.

If you’re going to just “make it through” why in the world would you go get an aging power forward?
I don't think we need to add an RD we need forward help. Carlo is addition by subtraction.

Second pairing RDs with offense and typically big salaries can be had for nothing in the off-season but cost a lot at the deadline.

Palmeiri Kreider Poitras fills the holes nicely up front and will cost nothing.

Carlo is an addition by subtraction and you want Peeke with an elevated role? Peeke can’t even handle his current role.

He's just a place holder for my example, I'm a little torn on him, but that said, I thought the Bruins had banked a decent amount of cap space in the fall, and if Frederic goes for a pick that's $2.3m more off the cap. I think @DominicT did the numbers on a Kreider deal in November and the money required to make it work wasn't as significant as the media was presenting. Maybe that changed with the Lindholm injury, I don't know. I don't see any websites that track banked space.

Projected at $4.8M. But you have to pay for that big retention too. At least a first.

I get what you mean about a placeholder though. Paying a first++ for him just seems very unwise.

I started watching Carlo after Monty got fired because I f***ING hated Monty as a coach

I think Carlo is a legit B/B+ defenseman especially with Lindholm.

Went to Centenial game he was a monster - led in minutes for D, blocks, +2

Went against Caps was o/s on kill especially

Was a +7 over four games after Monty gone playing with AHL call up

islanders game 20 minutes + 3, 5 hits, and 3 Block shots to lead team.

In the Winnipeg shit show he was good

If I’m trading Brandon Carlo
I better be getting a haul
