Late to the party but I feel like Broz's upside is a bit of a Rust/Sheary hybrid type of player. I've been thinking for a while that he'd fit amazingly well with Crosby, but it's largely a question of whether he's playing center or wing. I'd put his upside on par with Koivunen's as a complementary middle-6 winger that could mesh really well with a top-6 center. If Hallander comes back, he'd also be in that group IMO.

Nice to see Howe making Team Canada. I kinda figured he would as a bottom-6 grinder type, but it's nice to see it officially happen.

I think a lot depends on where the Pens are by the TDL. They can't move Rust in all probability with a NMC until the off season. Petts, with the younger LD in Pickering, a contract in Graves and a couple younger LD on the come makes Petts expendable as to a long term contract. If he is healthy. move him for a nice pick.

if they are out of it i could see him waving it, because he knows he's gone in the offseason. imo

I'm happy for Tanner," Kyle Dubas said Wednesday on the 'GM Show.' "He was hurt at the summer World Junior event, got a slap shot to the face against Sweden, and wasn't able to participate in the prospect showcase in Buffalo. He returned for the main camp, which is a tough place to drop yourself back into. And then he goes back to junior, gets traded from Regina to Calgary. There's been a lot going on. ... He's going to be, in my understanding, on (Canada's) third, fourth line, driving the other team crazy, forechecking, penalty-killing, whatever it's going to take to help Canada win. We're very excited for him. " Dubas noted that defenseman Harrison Brunicke was "tracking toward" being on Canada's roster as well, but it was determined that the fracture to his scaphoid bone in his wrist would not be healed in time. But he's anticipating their two Finnish defensemen getting "heavy usage" in their second turn in the tournament. "We're excited to see their continued progression," Dubas said of Pieniniemi and Kangas. Obviously, we're thrilled with the job Kingston has done with Emil. Kalle's played professionally in Liiga, which is a tough go as a 19-year-old. But he continues to come along well, and I think this will give him the opportunity to use what he's learned playing pro hockey and transfer it into playing against his peers again."

Anytime I hear "Tanner" I think "Glass" so I was quite confused. And anytime I hear "Glass" I think "Tanner" and not "Cody".

For someone who played less than two full seasons with the Pens they sure did a number on me.

Anyway, great for Howe! And not Gordie.
