Who is this player? (snip courtesy hockeydb.com)

I thought he was going nowhere and headed off to Switzerland years ago. But he seems to have re-invented himself in some way and found some measure of success in other organizations since? :dunno:

I'm also amazed by this player's start so far in the AHL... didn't think he was going anywhere, but he is having a heckuva start in Calgary:

Early in tonight's game (Jackets/B's) but Fabs with a secondary assist on one goal and Olivier with a shorty for his 6th of the season on the other goal. Six goals is a career high for him in a season - according to the Jacket announcers.

Liv also had a fight earlier, so he's two-thirds of the way to a Gordie.

Incidentally, in an effort to get away from the Provorov-Severson disaster pairing, Fabbro and Severson have apparently been swapped, so Dante's now on the second pairing with Provorov. It's working so far, but, again, early in the game.

I'm watching the Blues and Preds North game last night and see Trenin on the Wild roster. When did that happen?
Trenin is pocketing $4M this season and has 1 assist in 18 games. I mean, I liked him here, but he's definitely not a reason for Minnesota's turnaround.

I wonder what Herding sort of arrangement Hynes has going on with him now? He was legit good for us in those days. His stats line looks pretty mundane. He has 51 hits, which is good for 29th in the league. (Sherwood is #1 by a longshot, then Lauzon, and Schenn is #6). I haven't watched Minnesota at all. But seems to me like maybe they got jobbed a bit signing him to that much as a UFA. Good for him, though. I liked him as a player. He was a lot better for us than what he has done for Minnesota (or Colorado).
