I wonder why ADA is scratched. Maybe the coach wanted a fresher lineup? Maybe he’s not feeling particularly energetic today? Whatever it is, just wishing a great game to all the boys and to Smith especially.

I didn’t think I’d ever say this: thank god Zuke is out. He just doesn’t fit into our new style.

I completely forgot about this game. f***ing awesome!

As for ADA being scratched: we need to have a little patience.

I love what ADA has shown, and so does Quinn (20+ minutes a night), but Smith was guaranteed to get back in the lineup tonight; somebody had to take a breather. Given that he clearly doesn't intend to scratch Staal or Pionk, there's no harm in sitting ADA for a game.

It's not like Quinn is spanking him and sending him to bed without dinner. It's safe to assume that he has remained just as communicative and encouraging with ADA as he did from the start of the season.

I'm ok with ADA sitting for a game.He had a rough game yesterday and had 2 terrible passes in his own zone intercepted for great scoring chances against.I honestly thought Shattenkirk was worse yesterday and should have been scratched instead.He was turning the puck over in our zone all game long.
 
Well Georgiev in means we'll actually score some goals today, at least.

Glad Zucc is sitting. Weird about DeAngelo, but I know Smith has to get back in to try and get him going again. We already know Staal is never going to ride the pine so that’s useless.

Win this f***ing game. Make up for yesterday. That was disgraceful.
 
Can I get an Ignore function to block the comments constantly complianing about ADA....

ADA was our only good defenseman yesterday. Him and Hayes were the only guys that played average.

Good decision not to play Zucc back to back, after this kind of injury. Next game he's in again.

I know you can ignore posters entirely, I meant function that would specifically block those comments... it was tongue in cheek anyway, i'm just getting tired of having to constantly read those posts across multiple threads on this board everytime the dude sits.

He had a rough game? The only thing that stood out to me was that one horrible pass. And the goal against was Skjei’s fault for making a bad pinch. Other than that, I don’t see how he had a rough game. Rough moment or two, yes. But he was the best defenseman. Shattenkirk made 2 horrible passes in 8-10 seconds, was going through the motions, and skated like my grandma.

I just think our expectations for Tony got very high in a short amount of time, since we’ve been spoiled with some great games by him. He had an average game yesterday, and if he shot that puck 1 cm to the right, we would all be talking about how great he his.

My big issue is that just a few days ago, people were saying he’s a #1 defenseman. One game later, he makes a couple mistakes, and hfboards does a 180 on him. I’ve defended him during the rough times before, and I will defend him again. He’s our best defenseman, and we have some solid defensemen on this team.
 
I’m thrilled for Timmy Getts but I’m equally as thrilled he went with #25 instead of #27. Really didn’t want to have to buy a Gettinger jersey
 
@Buchnevich89 he was on the wrong side drifting a few times, had 2 passes picked off at his own blueline and i think one at center ice. No one really played well but keep in mind we all puck watch to a large degree and coaches don't.

But I suspect he's been doing things the coaches didn't like for a few games now but was playing well enough overall + coaches love keeping a winning team together and this is the game it boiled over for. Really not a big deal.
