And they beat us earlier in the season basically icing mostly AHL dmen. so the excuses should not really be valid right about now.

Under .500. Good news for the tankers. It's so exciting to start seeing these .4 numbers.
 
We are not making the playoffs; that's done. It's all about next year and beyond. Quinn needs to either be fired or told that fact so he can develop the kids the rest of the way. The rebuild ends next year once the likes of Smith, Johnson, Blackwell, PDG, Lemieux, Howden, and D'angelo are gone.

Pens played the first period on a near psychic level. We actually scored first, by Jack Johnson no less. Seeing eye goal and Strome's was a cheapy.

Blackwell is a liability in two out of the three zones. He works hard but loses battles and fans on pucks all the time. For this year, it's fine. Next year he cannot be on this team.
 
Watch the Kapanen goal. It was poetry in motion. Psychic level puck on a string. We actually played it as well as we could until we ran out of gas defending. Pens just knew where each other was. It was sick.

No one needs a shake up more than we do outside of Buffalo
 
What is this step in the right direction bullcrap they are spewing? This team made the bubble cut last year, you are supposed to be COMPETING. The results is not surprising, but there shouldn't be any DIRECTION trending, they should already be there, and just grow as a young group.

Why don't we? I'm not buying it being all about their experience. They are a well coached and structured team. There's zero structure to ours.

Right, his job is to make sure his players aren't going to dog it. That's part of "preparing" someone to play. Thanks for helping me prove my point!
