Julian Gauthier once again was very good as was Kakko. Jarry played alot better than Kinkaid and that was the difference. That and the awful shorty.

You sleepwalk for 2 periods a game and this is the result you get. This team isnt going to win many games with efforts like this.Maybe it will eventually sink in with them..but i wouldnt hold my breath

young teams are usually flying around the ice. This is not enough.

This team is easily ahead of Pitt with Panarin in the lineup and at worst the Ziba from 3 years ago.

Fun fact. Howden at 6'3 200 lbs has been laid on his ass more than Zuke's whole career. A hobbit can stay on his feet and take hits better.
No. They pretty much played a perfect first. We're not ahead of them even with Panarin.

Gauthier was awesome tonight I thought. Only blemish was he was on the ice for the Penguins 3rd goal which was an ugly sequence. Other than that he was generating offense all night and his speed is a real weapon. I wish he had better hands because he'd be a stud.

Yeah great we got some good chances late in the third on a team that was protecting the lead and looked like crap the rest of the game. Definitely something to be proud and that will work every game :thumbu:

That’s my thing. The offense can’t be this inept, evens without Panarin.

Either the system is dogshit, or the players aren’t what we thought they would be. It could be both.
This could be the case, but you have to give this core at least 1 other coach to see how it goes. It's not like in Buffalo or Calgary where they are at the point they need to blow up the core, they've had multiple coaches and GMs try and fail. Here's it's still a young team, a young coach and a young GM. Coach is the first one to go.

I have no faith in them doing changes midseason, which sucks.

Got lucky he didn’t get called for that hook with about 4 minutes left, he would have been sent to Siberia.

We played better than that. Just not good enough.

On a night we lost to the Penguins, I think making excuses that we didn't have Panarin is ironic considering this Penguins team managed .600+ hockey in 100+ games without Crosby over the last 5 years.

Howden down, Barron up. Would like to see Reunanen.
Ride out the suck until the trade deadline/ the Panarin mystery novel comes to an end.

Don't have a clue what may or may not happen but it'll be interesting.

End season.

Look forward to draft.

Hope for a full 82 starting with a full compliment of fans in Oct

Start with high hopes until Kappo and LAF run into each other coming out of their medical screening and are out for 5 months

If we had Bread we probably win one or both of these games against the Pens
And unfortunately it won't matter anymore when he comes back (if he comes back). we are almost double digits back from a playoff spot. Gonna suck watching Shesty play great games down the meaningless stretch

I think most people here are saying there's no excuse for the offense to be that bad even without Panarin.

We should have been the hungrier team. we got embarrassed last game and are the team falling out of the race. It sure didn't look like we played better than that most of the game.

We were only 4 points behind Pitt entering this match. How many 1 goal games have we lost this year, esp with the Husk of Ziba's body playing?
Only talking within the context of this game. Panarin might've had an impact with his individual brilliance, but Pens played a great team game.

Yeah, and Sullivan supposedly sucks? Dude works with what he has. Rotating cast of wingers year over year and they stay competitive
