The best part about rangers lately is we expect both skaters and goalie to be good.
This period the skaters went through a slump and Hank gives them another chance, next time it may be the other way around.

I think most people were in the consensus that it was a mental issue for Henrik. Slightly slower compared to his prime but still good. Team defense has been better and he's found a good mind set so he's back to being technically proficient.

Very nice to see.

Side note, I'm fairly certain NHL.com used a picture from 2007 for tonight's game icon.

That photo is from the 2007-08 or 2008-09 season. You can tell by the old Reebok logo on Zetterberg's collar on the back. After that season, they had the word-art Reebok on the jerseys.

2009/10

The Wings didn't play at the Garden in 08/09 or 10/11. We didn't play them in 07/08.

I didn’t realize right now is 10 years ago. These are the stupid arguments you bring up every time. When everyone talks about how is play is declining, you continuously bring up his career.

It's like a model who gains 50 pounds and then people tell you she's still beautiful because she was beautiful the last 15 years.

Reactions: Kane One
He’s 16th in GAA this year of goalies who played at least 10 games. 16th in SV% as well.
It does take a bit to come back up from rock-bottom.

Maybe instead of watching just a single number that represents the *now*, you should watch the trends of his numbers over the course of the season.

Feel like JTM is long overdue for one of those absolute clap bombs of a goal where he rips it past a goalie from 60 feet

He has a fairly consistent trend now of going on massive slumps and then a hot streak.

You can probably say the same bullshit about any goalie if you want to ignore the two most popular statistics for goalies to prove they’re above average, especially when those statistics are the definition of average.
