come on people.

only thing that makes me hesitate to just assume it's a concussion is that they specifically said it wasn't and the Rangers usually haven't been a team to outright lie about things like that and have reported player with concussions before

lmao Mika my man reads the boards. 'You guys can probably figure it out' aka 'you've spent hours trying to work it out already on da internets, so here's some more crumbs for you internet hockey nerds to speculate on'. Have at it boys!

This is a big night for me. Having been born with the athleticism of a cheesewheel, I never got to chase the big rounds numbers I dreamed of. This is a big round number.

Despite the fact that I may seem angry a lot of the time or complain about this place (or the team), this community means an awful lot to me. Hell, I wish there were an HF for the other sports I follow. I talk about the Yankees more here than anywhere else.

It's hard to believe this is my 10th different Rangers season since joining. I was a plucky kid when I signed up and now I'm a grown ass man with a job and bills. I've grown up here in a way.

More importantly I've made friends for life. And I mean"real life" friends, and I hate that ****ing term because it's 2019. I've been to an HF wedding, I've been to games with multiple posters, draft events, I've had posters visit me when they're in New York which is crazy, and there's people in my life I talk to every day all because of this dump.

It's a wonderful thing to have a place where you feel important, respected, and listened to, even if people don't always like what you have to say. I thank everyone for that, even if we haven't always gotten along.

Here's the bad news: come 2028 you gonna be hearing a 200k speech because I'm not going anywhere. And I hope most of you aren't either.

Now I really wanna ****ing win this game so let's go!

2028? You'll get there long before then!

agreed. thats the weird part.

the whole "not gonna talk about it thing" throws me off though.

odd way to handle a "neck injury" ?

Shame he couldn’t replicate that success here. Great player when he’s on.

It's situations like that one and the Yandle trade that make me skeptical that bringing in a player to play "below their station" really improves your team. (i.e. a 1/2C to play 3C or a 2LD to play 3LD)

Happy that I could contribute to your manhood, it takes a village or village people...forget which

I hope tonight is a redux of The Eddie chant for Zuc and that he scores a hat trick, pretty sure the crowd will cheer his every touch.
I'm so happy Zucc is here. I specifically did not invite webster and I hope security is on that.

Not sure of the timeline here, but its possible they originally thought it was just a neck injury and announced it wasn't a concussion. Then later he developed symptoms of the concussion. So now we are in this weird conspiracy theory territory.

this is exactly what I think happened

Awesome man! You had me at Cheese-wheel. lol. Hope we get to meet up one day at a game in the near future.
Yeah for sure!
In all this time, I've never asked you if your username comes from the band, which I love. I always assumed it did.
Oh the Machinehead story!

This is back in 2007. I had just gotten an Xbox 360 for Christmas and was trying to think of a gamertag for Xbox live. I couldn't come up with anything good. I had my music on shuffle in the room and Machinehead by Bush came on and I was just like "that's it!" I carried the name over to hear.

The funny thing about that story, though, is that I do love Machine Head, even more than Bush. Like, they're easily top 20 for me out of every band. I picked up a copy of Catharsis the day it came out and I was supposed to see them live some time ago but it got cancelled for some reason. I'm still hoping to see them although it will never be quite the same without Phil. The Blackening, for my money, is one of the greatest pieces ever produced in heavy metal.

So it worked out

Imperium is probably my favorite song of theirs. I remember seeing them sometime around when Supercharger came out and feeling like their live performance far outstripped their studio work. Then Through the Ashes of Empires came out and, well...

Congrats, bud! Always been one of my favorite posters.

I remain incredibly perplexed as to why anyone cares if it's a concussion or not.
