I think Claesson was more effective when he first got into the lineup than he's been the last few games. That kind of thing isn't completely uncommon among 7th D types.

Smith makes more sense.

Staal is impervious to scratches; and ADA, Shatty, and Claesson have earned their spots. Smith isn't as shaky as he was to start the season, but we can't keep scratching Skjei.

I'm hoping that in a few weeks, Skjei has established himself again, and the debate becomes Smith vs. Pionk.

I dunno, he's been very consistent for us in all his starts.

I certainly wouldn't call him a 7th D (for now). In fact, I'd argue that he's been one of our three best defensemen this season; and hands down our best defensive defenseman.

I am saying that calling Hank gutless for Georgiev getting the start is laugh out loud funny and probably the most absurd thing I’ve seen on here which is saying a lot.

Being a lock for one the top 5 most absurd statements of the decade is quite a feat for this forum.
