Generally they have played well. They certainly look faster on their breakouts/transition.

Some really dumb penalties. The Dmen look pretty shaky tonight. The forwards look pretty good generally speaking...

Nash is having a little bit of a hard time with the tempo. I think playing Richards screwed up his timing a little bit.

I was saying this the other day. He needs someone to create his chances for him, by drawing defenders away from him and leaving him with a chance to shoot. He's obviously never going to be able to split defenders like Nash, Datsyuk and Malkin and he's incredibly weak on the puck. I mean, the guy has 2 40 goal seasons in New York so the team is obviously better with him than without him, you don't just turn over a rock and find 40 goal scorers. Unfortunately though, he's incredibly inconsistent and that never bodes well when you play for a team in New York.

Gaborik and Datsyuk would be filthy good. Remember the All-Star game?

He is not moving in the neutral zone, and he is gliding too much into open space. He has had a couple decent shots, but he isn't really creating or getting involved.
