Am I the only one concerned about us giving up 50 shots?

How many did the Isles block?
15. One by Bailey

Much to process in that one.
Vintage Pelech-Pulock on McDavid.
Holmstrom looked very comfortable at level.
Ilya is a freak. His first big save was ridiculous.
JGP had a great game. Parise again good.
Refs were smoking
Parise 6 shots on net. Awesome D

Its incredible. He is so quick from post to post, always in great position, fantastic rebound control, and his glove is great as well. It seems like the only way he gets scored on is if he cant see the puck at all, and even than its more likely that the puck will just hit him. Hes absolutely a top 3 goalie, he may even be the best goalie in the league. Love watching this kid play.
As mentioned I watched him live in Toronto Monday. He's almost robotic. Nothing phrases him.

I registered for the site just to post this incredibly appropriate GIF.

Really like lane lambert. guy seems like a no-nonsense, intelligent coach. the kind of guy you want to battle for, and not piss off, or act dopey around.

a real straight shooter--like Gary Cooper; the strong, silent type.
Might be best group of assistants since Laviolette was here.

Holmstrom played a responsible game. System seemed familiar to him.

Clutterbuck, JGP and Pelech I thought were terrific.

If Holmstrom can become a top 6 player after how maligned that pick was at the time, that'd be a huge win.

What a blast from the past!!. His guy was Petrov lol

Aside from a slow start together that line actually looked decent. Even if that line doesn’t become anything or stick, it at least showed Lamberts willingness to take chances and try things out. Trotz would have never done that with Holmstrom Barzal and Wally

You rate this game better than Isles vs. Carolina? I have both those games up there. But still favor the Carolina game a bit more.
I do, because we were able to contain McDavid and Draisaittl while having to shelter Barzal and Holmstrom. Plus the fact that we were moving our feet for a full 60, and in spite of the 49 or 50 saves Sorokin had to make I never felt that we were under siege or holding on for dear life.
