More cheap depth that could have possibly helped the team is leaving because of some inflexibility


This guy knew he was cooked as soon as we decided Bednar wasn’t going anywhere.

I don’t blame him. I like the player, deserved better. A different coach would’ve let him do what he does best; forecheck like a demon and lay the body.
 
Bardakov did some good things but I think there's a logjam at the bottom of the lineup anyway.

I understand why he would go back to Russia but I don't see this as a big loss.
 
I'm surprised they couldn't find a team that would have given up a late pick to give him a try. But maybe he really just wanted to go home.
Every team has a bunch of these players. Same reason why we're fine letting him go, we have guys like Hughes, Ivan and Prischepov who we can have in that role. I didn't mind Bardakov but it was hard to find him a spot in the lineup next year.
