I'm sure it's gonna work out either way for Dallas, but I am REVELING in this mess. Starting to make the Mikko fiasco look like nothing by comparison.
Knies is a complementary piece on a top line. He shouldn’t be the star of the show. The Kraken don’t really have the linemates for him.Seattle might as well go the Knies route at this point as Fat Frank mentioned earlier. 7th overall+ for him. He’s only 23 years old, is signed long term, has no trade protection, and is awesome.
And Nashville.Yeah, the Panthers had the whole tax advantage thing for years and years too and it didn’t matter one bit when they had nothing going for them.

French reporter is saying the offer was Wright + 2026 1st + 2027 1st
Why is Toronto trying to get rid of Knies?

Death, taxes, no Avs scoops. iirc we didn't even know we were involved in the Eichel sweeps until he said it himself.Hilarious how we are never in any single rumor until the deal is announced.
I feel like every other team has leaks, except for us.

I was joshing about "the player some teams might have shown interest in". I could totally see Calgary calling Joe and asking about Cale... as stupid as it would be to do so... I mean, you can't expect them to not do due diligence. This is what I said would happen:
- Nichushkin traded. Done.
- Colton traded. Done.
- Drury traded. No extension, no arbitration. Done.
- Avs have had a list of top 4 LHD they’ve wanted to acquire. If not possible, re-sign Kulak who was a great fit and evaluate again by the TDL.
If July 1st comes around and we haven’t either traded for a D or extended Kulak, we can start to panic. There’s 5 days to do that.
Unlike previous years, Sakic has been able to get the key departure trades completed by the draft. This is all positive stuff.

The tax is aimed at tech industry, not sports playersThat's like saying - we want major league franchises but we want them to suck ass... weird choice.
