Rumor: 2026 Trade Rumors and Free Agency: Offseason Edition

To Carolina: Hellebuyck + Colton
To Winnipeg: Blackwood + Drury + Carolina 2027 1st + Ivan²
To Colorado: Nikishin + Kotchetkov + Perfetti

or am I high?
I already called the trade to get Nikishin weeks ago. Since Colton is gone, substitute Nuke into the deal.

To Carolina: Hellebuyck + Nichushkin
To Winnipeg: Blackwood + Drury + Carolina 2027 1st + Ivan²
To Colorado: Nikishin + Kotchetkov + Perfetti

As long as he can match Nelson goal for goal while playing on the top line with MacK what more can you ask for?
Someone posted a tweet the other day showing the best playoff performers this year. Mack was near the top league-wide (top 3?), while Necas was very far down the list, close to Nelson, even though he was playing next to a top 3 player.

I am aware of Necas' playoff prowess.

On the plus side I thought this was MacK's worst playoff performance since perhaps his rookie year. Combine that with the natural aging curve and an injury from the blocked shot and he'll start to slow down big time. So Necas will start to look relatively a bit better compared to Nelson. Which means we won the trade.

I remember the chart. The highest contributors from the Avs after MacKinnon were Colton, Nuke and Nelson. It is not a chart of the best playoff performers though.

That was a very general graph IIRC, in no way did it accurately reflect Nichushkin.
