Rumor: 2026 Trade Rumors and Free Agency: Offseason Edition

  • If you are having issues logging in, we have found opening the log in page in a new tab/window rather than using the pop out should resolve these issues. We are working to get this resolved and thank you for patience.
  • Due to the increased volume of league transactions, the Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk section is temporarily restricted to where threads may only be started by moderators and sponsors. We anticipate that this restriction will be lifted some time after the first round of the draft.
Not really sure what people are expecting this summer. CMac literally left us im about the worst possible scenario. No money, no good trade assets, no draft picks.

Not sure what Sakic can possibly be expected to do. Nuke isn't getting us anyone good. No one wants a declining player with a drug history. We'll be lucky if we can dump him for salary savings. Drury is maybe a 3rd round pick if we are lucky. UFA sucks.

We don't have anything to work with, nothing great is happening this offseason. Best we can hope for is Makar signing for semi reasonable and maybe Kulak re-signing.

Or the money to pay him. If they trade him as an RFA with arbitration rights there's probably a financial reason behind it.

Carolina are swimming in cap space. I don't think it's about money.

Brindamour made him a healthy scratch for 2 games in the playoffs and had him getting limited minutes on the 3rd pairing. He put Mike f***ing Reilly in there over Nikishin. There's been rumors of a coaching/style fit there. He isn't buying into the way Rod wants him to play.

After just winning a Cup, Brindamour has earned the trust of the management. If he doesn't like how Nikishin plays and Tulsky can get something good for him, they'll pull the trigger.
