EF mentioned today it will be interesting to see what Ottawa does with those picks they just got.

He threw out the idea of offer sheeting. Like Jason Robertson.

Not to throw shade, just my opinion, but I dont see the point of the Bs trading a Zacha or Geekie for a top pick this year and not help now. They arguably need 3 pieces. You trade one of those two guys it becomes 4 pieces.

Totally open to moving Zacha with that extension looming in a trade that makes sense. Geekie is on such a solid cap hit even with his inconsistencies. But Id move him for the right price.

If your sending these significant pieces then I see a true rebuild. Solid idea .

What is very interesting ( there is a trend here) are the number of high end players leaving Canadian Teams to play in the USA now VIA block buster trades:
Both Tkachuks
Gaudreau ( RIP)
Stone
Karlsson
Q. Hughes

Could McCheese and Matthews be next?

Very possible

One could assume if their situations don't improve, then it's possible.

I wonder if this will affect the draft at all. Will Canadian teams be less likely to select US born players higher in the draft for fears of this continuing?

Kesselring, a 7th dee at best was just traded last week to move up 7 spots.
Lohrei has way more value vs him.
I would add Potsy in as well if they wanted.
Getting into the top 9 almost guarantees us of getting one of:
Rudolph
Smits
Verhoeff
I think the sens walk away they just gave up Brady and they gonna show poitras late first and Lohrei for Brady sens fans will look for the pitchforks.

I’m not buying 9 in play

They can get either Bjorck or Wyatt Cullen a LW who’s perfect for Sens

They made out like banshees

Is that not somewhat logical point people are making? It’s definitely a possibility especially if you believe the Bruins overachieved last season.

I would buy it more if it didn't happen pretty much every single season. I guess if you predict disaster every season, eventually you will be right. I have no idea what next season will look like. The Bruins could absolutely suck ass and finish in the lottery (like the Leafs this past season when no one would have predicted it). They could also finish top 3 in the Atlantic again. No one knows, and I just find it interesting that every summer the harbingers of doom are out in force worrying about what all the other teams in the division are doing and what that means for the Bruins.

I think they go for Belchetz he looks solid plus with the cap savings they can sign Tuch to max deal. Sens did ok under the circumstances in terms of a NMC those are always tough to deal with.
I really like Cullen here - but you may be correct

Cullen a LW and super fast and brains

I’m going to be fascinated at 21 who’s there - I’ll be in the seaport and hopefully I can get on here so I can go on record who to take

Useless 39 goal scorers, trade him for some lottery tickets and include Zacha then we might get somebody as good as Geekie or Zacha.
He was open about his game needed to be better

He’s got the hard part down I think we get a better edition
