Could it be that GM’s around the league? Don’t think this is a good draft? I say that because we’ve never seen first round pics thrown around like this. We’ve never seen top 10 pics traded and now we’ve seen it happen three times. GM‘s are dealing first round picks like their 2nds.

Obviously Kyle Davidson doesn’t. I also agree with Clint, the raise in the cap, has helped made this possible.

If they start off the season slow next year, Don is going to have all the middle/bottom 6 players other teams can handle at the deadline.

I'm warming up to the idea of just letting the chips fall as they may next year.

I'm ok with skipping the deadline. Those additions rarely really work and last yrs team was more than one deadline deal away.

Could be wrong, but my take is Sweeney is already on vacation... They will go through the draft, take the players as ranked on their list with the picks they have. Sign a few UFA's on July 1. Maybe overpay. Who cares. Get your targets. Get them quick. Take it easy until camp. Just like every other year essentially.
