Boston Bruins 2026 OFFSEASON Roster & Salary Cap VI

  • If you are having issues logging in, we have found opening the log in page in a new tab/window rather than using the pop out should resolve these issues. We are working to get this resolved and thank you for patience.
  • Due to the increased volume of league transactions, the Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk section is temporarily restricted to where threads may only be started by moderators and sponsors. We anticipate that this restriction will be lifted some time after the first round of the draft.

On the one hand, it's the GM's job to make trades, not the Pres. In practical terms this is nothing. But on the other, the optics are terrible. This management sure do love to commit unforced errors and give their haters free kicks at them.
Sure but has there been anything over the past 10 years that would indicate that Cam isn’t heavily involved with every transaction of note? Can’t have it both ways.

Yeah he likes to be involved. History says that the moves he's allegedly most in on have a.....mixed....record at best. So perhaps him staying at arm's length wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

Let's be real. Neely's spending a few hours to do a TV show shouldn't have any impact on what his office is up to. He's not working the phones. Surely they already know the moves they want to try and make. If he needs to give the 'yes' or 'no' on something, no doubt he's contactable.

I get the point here - it's stupid timing and looks bad. Makes management appear distracted or head-in-the-clouds. But I refute that it makes one iota of difference to what Sweeney and co. are actually working on (if anything).

Bad optics, but at the same time this is the one week out of the year they need to have the pulse of everything.

Between the active trade market, the draft and free agency a week away, it’s not a good look.

Sometimes I can't tell if management are just stupid/out of touch, or whether they simply occasionally enjoy actively trolling the fanbase.

As bad as the Bruins and the future looks right now. I'm not gonna doom yet. Nothing's been done. And maybe that's Donny Harvard's big plan. We're gonna be aggressive alright. We're gonna aggressively bring Sven Bärtshi out of retirement.
